Queen B Bullz
Kitten Application
Retired Adult Application

Welcome to QueenBCatz Ragdoll Cattery!

My name is Alyssa Bates; I am the owner of QueenBCatz Ragdoll Cattery.

After many years of research, my love for these cats is what led me to begin our cattery in 2023. My husband and I have 2 children that help us raise these babies. They are a huge part of the kitten's upbringing. I take great pride in breeding and raising my beautiful Ragdolls. I love meeting new families and getting to know everyone personally. We are located in Paducah, Kentucky.

Our cattery raises quality, traditional blue-eyed Ragdolls and is registered with The International Cat Association (TICA), American Cat Fanciers Association (ACFA) & the Cat Fanciers Association (CFA). We raise fantastic Ragdolls that fit the breed standard, with traditional markings and blue eyes!

All of our Kings and Queens are genetically tested through Wisdom Panel, also known as Optimal Selection. Each of our cats must be negative for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), prior to being bred. This helps ensure that the kitten you bring home from our cattery will be free of genetic diseases and ready to live a long, healthy life!

Our Environment

Our home is designed to provide our kittens with a safe, comfortable, and stimulating environment. Our living room is utilized as the kittens' playground, equipped with scratchers, climbing towers, wall climbers and more.

We also have not one but two amazing veterinary clinics within minutes of our home that we work closely with and a team of experienced family members to ensure that our cats and kittens receive the best possible care.

At QueenBCatz Ragdoll Cattery, both kittens and adults live as part of our family. Kittens are brought up around children and other animals until they leave the cattery for their new homes; we believe raising them this way, helps to ensure they go to their new homes with a sense of confidence that is unwavering. This way, you can be assured that you are bringing home a well-socialized and confident addition to the family!

Our Breeding Program

Our breeding program is designed to produce kittens that are healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. We carefully select our breeding pairs based on a variety of factors, including health, temperament, and conformation. Our kittens are raised in a loving and nurturing environment, and we take great care to ensure that they receive the best possible care and socialization.

Being a "cageless cattery" to us means, we don't raise our kittens in cages. Our adults live in our home, under foot and so do our kittens, when they are of age to do so.

Our kittens spend their first several weeks in mine & my husband's bedroom. Separate from the rest of the house, keeping things quiet, clean and giving our mama's individual time with their babies.

In between litters, we also use our bedroom or another bedroom as an area for "quarantine" reasons, like a sick cat, a new cat etc.

Unlike many breeders, we don't have ANY outdoor buildings, a garage, or any other type of cat specific containment. The only area our cats will ever have that is "separate" from the rest of the household will be their outdoor Catio, when it's built. Giving them a safe, secure and sanitary space to enjoy the outdoors. Other than that, they spend their days and nights LIVING in our home, as our PETS.

Let's get down to the basics...

First and foremost, we stand by our productions for life, meaning no matter how far away they are or how old they may be, we will forever have room for them if they should need it. Our biggest priority is ensuring that none of our productions end up in homes not suited for them or the humane society.

For the safety of our family and animals, we no longer allow strangers to come to our home. We take weekly pictures and videos when we have a litter, and we are happy to facetime/video chat with anyone at any time to see the babies.

We consider ourselves to be a cageless cattery, because of this our cattery is our home in its entirety. We do not allow tours of our home or personal space, this is invading and unreasonable, as you are here to see the kittens. We have children and inviting strangers into your own home can be concerning at any given time.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY:

  • In the event that any kitten/cat cannot be kept in his/her home (regardless of age), the owner MUST contact US before attempting to rehome said feline. Rehoming ANY of the kittens/cats from our cattery is PROHIBITED! We must be given AT LEAST 14 days' notice, to make arrangements for said kitten/cat.
  • Upon contacting us, the owner will be sent an owner surrender form. We will arrange all transportation for said animal, should transportation be needed.
  • It is required that any and ALL paperwork (registration papers - if any & vet records) must be given to/returned to us.
  • In the event that a buyer needs to return a kitten, we will take the kitten back and rehome it, working to secure the best possible placement and value. Once the kitten is rehomed, the original buyer will be refunded the new purchase price, minus any veterinary costs incurred and a $200 rehoming fee.

Deposits

We know that the idea of sending an online deposit is scary. With the increasing number of scammers out there, who can you really trust? Well, you REALLY can trust US. We live for our cats; it is NOT the other way around and deposits to us, are a promise. Deposits are a sign of good faith that you not only believe in us, but also our amazing kittens.

One of the main things that I believe helps us stand out from many other breeders is that we will NEVER ask for any form of payment before our litters are born. Shoot, we don't even ask for a deposit until our kittens are a minimum of 3 weeks old.

We also, unlike most, have a "deposit agreement" which pairs as a receipt, which you will receive and be expected to sign when you send your deposit.

Traditionally our deposit amount is $500.00 USD (which goes towards the overall cost of your kitten) unless stated otherwise. Our deposits typically are NON-REFUNDABLE, but they are TRANSFERABLE to another/future litter.

Litter Selections & Waiting List Etiquette

First and foremost, we breed for the betterment of our cattery and the Ragdoll breed.

Below is an example of what to expect when we have a litter arrive...

  • We contact everyone on the "waiting list" with the birth announcement photos and information. At that time, you will be given the option to select a kitten from the current litter or remain on the list for another litter. That is a time to give everyone a "first look" or "sneak peek" at the litter.
  • Official selections will be made in the order the deposits are received, excluding our pick(s) or stud owner picks (if any); which are always considered 1st & 2nd picks.
  • At 4 weeks old, we will begin accepting deposits on specific litters.
  • At 5 weeks old, our official selections/ keeper picks will be made - (our picks will be considered pending evaluation until they are older). Once our selections have been made, the families on the waiting list who have placed deposits, will be allowed to make their selections.
  • After the waiting list families make their selections, any remaining kittens will be publicly listed.
